It's a new month and a new SBCL release, 0.8.20 in this case. Rumours that this is just the cover identity for 0.9alpha.0 are entirely unfounded. Especially noteworthy in 0.8.20 are the performance improvements affecting at least some class-heavy applications, like McCLIM.

The current bleeding edge SBCL is very much so, breaking Slime at the time of the writing. However, if you're willing to apply this patch to Slime or wait till it or something similar gets merged, then CVS HEAD is worth it: the clarity of backtraces is much improved, being now free of internal details like "XEP for FOO" or "&MORE-PROCESSING for BAR" and showing keyword arguments properly.
